Reading
Just prior to recording this he randomly picked up the book, turned to the dibble dibble dop page and appeared to read like the wonder child he is. It took some coaxing when we tried to film it of coarse.

We've been very busy these last few weeks, as you will see. We celebrated Lyvi's 12th birthday with a couple of her closest friends. Then we traveled to Nebraska. Day 1: drove to McCook. Day 2: helped Elise sew her 4-H project. Day 3: drove to Lincoln. Jason had been traveling and/or in Michigan for the last few weeks but he happen to be in Nebraska, so we went to see him. We stayed with Janel and her boyfriend Jamie at their ponderosa. Complete with a pond (lake), 4-wheeler, and of coarse excavator. Doesn't every 12 year old have the opportunity to run some heavy equipment? (And yes she was running the controls with a little help.) I also got to meet my friend Mandy's new little girl Sydney, since we were in town. Day 7: back to McCook.

San Francisco Trip
Jason and Lyvia got to go to California again. Aunt Amanda needed a new car so...... she gets Jeremy's hand-me-down. So here's how the car got to California from Houston. Jeremy drove it to College Station. Jason got it from College Station. Then Jason and Lyvia drove all the way to Barstow the 1st day and then on to Jon and Brittney's (San Ramon) the next day for a short visit and on to Amanda's (Napa). The next day was filled with sight seeing as you will see in the photos. An open tour bus took them past Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Fisherman's Warf. Then on tuesday evening, Jason's 35th birthday, (boy he's getting really old) they surprised him with a Giant's baseball game with Amanda, Jon, and Brittney. This first pic is Lyvia going down the Coca-Cola slide which you can get a better appreciation for in the next photo. Then they finally came back home to me the next day.
